Family photo shoot…. check
As I get closer to my due date, I find myself diligently checking off items on my “Things to Do Before Baby Gets Here” List. One of those things was our family photo shoot, and to be honest, I didn’t think we were gonna get it done. We kept having to reschedule and it didn’t seem like Travis’ work schedule was going to be favorable for actually getting it done.
Not only did we get it done, but the day leading up to it was such a sweet day! My husband was off work, which the first blessing of the day. I love the feeling of seeing him in the morning, knowing that even if he has work to do at home, he’ll just be in the other room!
Later that morning my baby girl and I trekked off to the park
for a play date with a sweet family we met a while back. Z had so much fun with the kids, she didn’t want to leave. I left feeling blessed to get to know another Jesus-loving mama in the neighborhood and hear a little bit about her story.
From there we headed back for lunch at the house with a dear friend
(she is dear to our whole family). It was just what I needed. I’m so thankful for my community! Lunch and play left my little girl sleepy. I was confident she’d sleep for her daddy. So I confidently left! To do what?
To get a haircut and a pedicure of course!
My thoughtful mama insisted on treating me to some pre-labor pampering. And oh it was pampering all right! I almost fell asleep. Not just during the pedicure… I almost fell asleep when the lady was washing my hair! Jeesh!
I got back just in time to quickly get my family dressed and ready and rush out the door.
The photo shoot was such a blessing! The sun was golden and seemed to be warmly enveloping us as we spent precious moments together. Family moments that will soon change. What a treat! I am so thankful for my family. So thankful for the many blessings the Lord has afforded us in this season of our lives. And I look forward to one more Little Blessing.
We can’t wait to meet you baby boy! You will add so much to our family… you already do. We love you so much already!
